Session Description:

CMS Survey Compliance for 2026 is an intensive 12-hour virtual program designed to help nursing home professionals confidently navigate today’s survey environment. This course delivers clear, practical guidance on CMS priorities, surveyor methodology, and the systems needed to achieve sustained compliance, quality outcomes, and resident-centered care. Participants will gain a focused understanding of how CMS evaluates facilities - through Critical Element Pathways, documentation review, staff interviews, and observation - while exploring the most frequently cited deficiencies and strategies to reduce risk. Emphasis is placed on ethical decision-making, effective investigations, interdisciplinary accountability, and operational practices that stand up to survey scrutiny.
